Project: ECO Park Demonstration Garden – Namibia 2024

GENERATION LIFE – ECO Park NAMIBIA

With the initiative CHILDREN SAVE THE WORLD in 2021, the students of Thomas Mann Primary School in Zweibrücken, Germany, laid the foundation for this project. By adopting a TREE SPONSORSHIP through LIFE NEEDS WATER – GERMANY, the children made a statement and actively engaged in global climate protection for our planet. The proceeds from the “GS Ixheim Charity Run 2021,” which was specifically organized to support the tree planting project in NAMIBIA, allowed the purchase of the first 100 seedlings, which will grow into strong trees in our GENERATION LIFE ECO Park over the next 10 years.

GENERATION LIFE – Demonstration Garden AUS / Namibia

Under this motto, the students of Thomas Mann Primary School in Zweibrücken, Germany, have shown that each individual can make a positive contribution to global climate efforts. Even small changes can help mitigate climate change. Trees bind carbon dioxide (CO²) over the long term, especially when care is taken to use their wood in construction and when their leaves decay into the soil. Fast-growing, large trees are particularly well suited for this purpose. A diversity of plant species helps many animal species, and vice versa. Otherwise, some birds may lack food, and plants may not reproduce. Valuable CO²-storing trees and shrubs also provide habitat and food for many animals.

GENERATION LIFE – ECO Park

With the implementation of the GENERATION LIFE future project ECO PARK – OKAKEUA Village – OMAHEKE District, it will be possible to start the cycle of WATER & FOOD. Planting acacias and fruit trees will produce valuable food. Wildlife such as bees, birds, and insects will also benefit from the project, contributing significantly to its success. The forest is a habitat, raw material supplier, recreational space, and climate protector all in one. Therefore, we need forests as the green lungs of our planet and CO² storage.

The students of Thomas Mann Primary School in Zweibrücken, Germany, laid the foundation for this project and took on the international challenge. Together with LIFE NEEDS WATER, trees will be planted in OKAKEUA Village – OMAHEKE District, benefiting all of humanity and promoting sustainable forest management in NAMIBIA in the long term.
